Could Fall be on it's way?

Take a look at the calendar and ask yourself where the Summer has gone. The trees and bushes are showing the early signs that Summer is fading and Fall is headed our way. However, don’t feel too sad because your leaves are nearing their peak printing protentional! Yes they are going through the growth cycle reaching their top tannins. While the weather is pleasant, start harvesting theses leaves for printing during the Winter months. You won’t regret taking the time to do this now! Here are a few suggestions to gather and store the leaves.

1) Clip the leaves and place between newspaper or cotton sheet. Do not make too many layers of leaves as the potential of mold to grow is possible.

2) Once the leaves are fully dry and flattened, store in a paper box or plastic storage bin.

What is the advantage of online workshops?

1) Learn in your own space and with your own printing materials. We all have different leaves and they will print differently. Learning to use what is local is the key to your success.

2) Learn at a time that is convenient for your work schedule. Life gets in the way sometimes and keeps us for absorbing the information. When you enroll a time that works with your schedule is when you learn the best!

3) No travel expense or pressure. When taking an in-person workshop there can be travel delays and frustrations. Trying to gather the necessary materials for a course can be a problem. When attending a workshop the information is presented only once – it is not ‘replayed’ again and again.
