Zoom vs online courses. Some people have asked if my courses are Zoom type. With the pandemic many artists turned to Zoom to teach online. However, I have not done that. I use a professionally hosted learning platform. I want my students to focus on the information being taught and not having to deal with time zones, technology and distractions which are the issues with Zoom. I have used Zoom as a supplement, but never as a means of instruction. I feel the best learning comes when a student will focus upon the video and written documents then practice the steps in their own work space. When problems occur, they can get the problem solved via the instructor. Zoom is fine for some, however I have chosen the professional platform to deliver the best product possible.
