How satisfied are you with your Eco/ Botanical printing?

Many of the printing problems that exist are directly related to knowledge and skills. Quite often a person will come into Eco/Botanical Printing with preconceived notions or ideas. Perhaps they have sought out many social media publications for answers, which perhaps complicates. The truth is that there are many ways to achieve an Eco Print, but it all comes down to a few fundamentals.

2) Knowing the plants that live in and around you are also key. There are many varieties of plants from all parts of the globe, it is quite unfair to think that a certain plant will be available to all.

3) Understanding that fabrics are different in the way in which they accept a print. There are basically two types of fabrics and each types requires a different process to achieve a pleasant print.

These three things are really the cornerstone to Eco/Botanical Printing. This is sort of like starting any new art adventure, you simply have to know the basic concepts and build from there. Learn to take the baby steps and then advance further. While the idea of Eco/Botanical printing is simple in many ways, it is also complex. I would encourage anyone to respect the three basic concepts and build logically and sequentially. Even if you are experienced, go back and revisit the three cornerstones often.
